JioHotstar launches in UK, Canada and Singapore

Platform offers 160K+ hours of content, interactive features and flexible plans

JioHotstar on 2nd September 2026 announced its international launch in the UK, Canada and Singapore, taking its streaming catalogue, technology and interactive viewing experience to audiences outside India.

The platform offers more than 160,000 hours of entertainment across 12-plus languages and multiple genres, including films, television, regional programming, non-fiction, children’s content and anime. It will also add more than 30,000 hours of fresh content annually.

The international offering includes originals such as Ali Baba Aur Chaalis Bhoot, Prince of Mollywood, Part Timers and The Court, along with films including Dhurandhar, 12th Fail, Chhichhore and Kesari Chapter 2.

A key feature of the launch is the interactive format of Bigg Boss. Viewers in the UK, Canada and Singapore will be able to vote live across editions in six languages. Audiences in Canada and the UK will also have access to a 24×7 live feed, while viewers in Canada can watch Bigg Boss Hindi seven days ahead of its television broadcast.

The platform will provide content from JioStar channels, including Star Plus, Colors, Star Vijay, Asianet, Star Jalsha and Star Pravah. Viewers in Singapore and Canada will receive early access to selected programmes, while UK audiences can watch popular shows alongside their television broadcast.

JioHotstar is available on mobile devices and connected TVs, with apps accessible through the App Store and Google Play Store.

New quarterly subscription plans have also been introduced. Prices are GBP 19.99 in the UK, CAD 19.99 in Canada and SGD 29.98 in Singapore. Annual plans are priced at GBP 69.99, CAD 49.99 and SGD 69.98, respectively.
