Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar met with Sri Lanka’s newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo on Friday. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Jaishankar expressed his honor in calling on President Sanayake and conveyed warm greetings from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jaishankar highlighted the productive discussions with the President, appreciating his warm sentiments and guidance regarding bilateral relations. He emphasized efforts to deepen ongoing cooperation and strengthen ties between India and Sri Lanka for the benefit of both nations and the wider region.
