Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday described Operation Sindoor as a sign of India’s growing military strength, saying the operation demonstrated the armed forces’ ability to carry out swift and high-impact missions against adversaries.

Addressing the second Joint Commanders’ Conference in Jaipur, he said the operation reflected a new military approach based on coordination, speed and precision. He said the mission showed how the Army, Navy and Air Force could work together to protect national interests during a rapidly changing security environment.

The defence minister urged military commanders to prepare for future conflicts shaped by cyber warfare, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems and information battles. He said wars of the future would not depend only on weapons, but also on technology, innovation and joint planning across all branches of the armed forces.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening secure communication networks and improving India’s readiness across cyber, space and electronic warfare domains. He praised the progress made towards greater integration among the three services, calling jointness essential for modern warfare. Operation Sindoor, he said, had become a symbol of India’s collective resolve and evolving defence capabilities.
