Kisan Congress Plans Mobile App to Connect Farmers with Government Schemes
Kullu: The Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress plans to expand its outreach to farmers across the state and develop a mobile app to share information on government schemes and address farmers’ concerns.
Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress president Ravi Sharma announced this during a meeting of the Kullu District Kisan Congress Committee held at Dhalpur. He said the organisation would work to bring more farmers into its fold under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
Sharma said the proposed app would connect farmers and help them access information about government schemes designed to support the agricultural sector. The initiative aims to ensure farmers know about available benefits and can use them to strengthen their financial position.
He said the organisation was holding meetings across Himachal Pradesh to understand farmers’ problems and would raise their concerns with the state government to seek solutions.
Sharma also said the state government’s increase in minimum support prices for crops and milk had encouraged people to return to farming and dairy production. He added that the Kisan Congress would raise further demands with the government to improve farmers’ incomes and strengthen the agricultural economy.
The organisation’s proposed outreach drive and mobile application are intended to improve communication with farmers, while the impact of these initiatives will depend on their implementation and the benefits reaching agricultural producers.
