Panchkula, May 14
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday arrived at a BJP celebration program in Panchkula with a significantly reduced convoy, using only four vehicles. The move came following an appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote simplicity and reduce VIP culture. The event was organized at Panchkamal in Panchkula to celebrate the BJP’s mayoral victories in Panchkula, Ambala, and Sonipat.
Several senior BJP leaders attended the function, including Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and state in-charge Satish Poonia.Cabinet ministers Arvind Sharma, Ranbir Gangwa, Krishan Bedi, and Vipul Goel were also present at the event. Rajya Sabha MPs Kartikeya Sharma and Rekha Sharma, along with MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, attended the program as well. The newly elected candidates from Ambala, Panchkula, and Sonipat also participated in the celebrations.
