Khanna, May 22
The Khanna Police have arrested the parents of Shaganpreet Singh, former manager of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, in connection with the May 1 firing and extortion case linked to Prem Vaishno Dhaba.
According to police officials, Shaganpreet Singh’s father, Saudagar Singh, and mother, Daljit Kaur, were arrested from their ancestral village, Chadhi, in Fatehgarh Sahib district. The duo has been named as conspirators in the case.
Police sources said the accused were already under scrutiny in earlier firing incidents reported from the Payal and Doraha areas of Khanna. Both had previously been nominated in those cases as well. Saudagar Singh had secured bail after his earlier arrest, while Daljit Kaur was also out on bail.
Investigators allege that the couple was linked to the conspiracy surrounding the recent firing and extortion threats at the dhaba. Their fresh arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing probe.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to trace additional links and uncover the broader network behind the firing incidents and extortion racket operating in the region.
