New Delhi, June 2

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened its online portal for students who wish to seek verification of issues in their scanned answer sheets or apply for re-evaluation of answers following the declaration of board examination results.

The facility will remain available from June 2 to June 6, 2026. Only students who have already obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books are eligible to apply.

According to CBSE, the entire process will be conducted online through its official website. Students must log in using Aadhaar-based verification to complete the application and pay the fee digitally.

Candidates can report issues found in scanned copies of answer books, including missing pages, missing supplementary sheets, missing maps or graphs, blurred scans, or cases where an incorrect answer book may have been evaluated. Students who are dissatisfied with the evaluation of specific answers can also apply for re-evaluation.

The board has fixed the fee for verification of issues at Rs 100 per answer book, while re-evaluation requests will be charged at Rs 25 per question. Payments can be made via online modes such as UPI, debit cards, credit cards, and net banking.

CBSE has advised students to carefully review all details before submitting their applications. Once the payment process is initiated and the submission is confirmed, application details cannot be modified.

The board has also clarified that students can submit only one application each for verification of issues and re-evaluation. Candidates applying for multiple subjects are advised to include all requests before final submission.

To assist applicants, CBSE has made available a visual guide and tutorial video explaining the process. The board said the outcome of verification and re-evaluation requests will be communicated after the completion of the review process.

CBSE further stated that Aadhaar-based verification has been introduced to strengthen security during the application process. In cases where a student does not possess an Aadhaar number, the Aadhaar details of a parent, guardian or relative may be used for verification.

Students have been advised to complete the application process within the prescribed timeline to avoid missing the deadline.
