The board also reported that over 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category this year. These students will have to reappear in one or more subjects. The number of compartment cases has increased by nearly two percentage points compared to the previous year.
Girls once again performed better than boys in the Class 12 examinations. The pass percentage among girls was over 88 per cent, while boys recorded around 82 per cent.
