Patiala, May 9
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s ongoing “Shukrana Yatra” reached Patiala on Friday, where he received a grand welcome from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and supporters.
Party workers greeted the Chief Minister with flower showers and slogans as the convoy entered the city. Mann later visited Gurdwara Shri Dukh Niwaran Sahib along with his wife and daughter to pay obeisance.
During his interaction with party workers, the Chief Minister once again targeted the Shiromani Akali Dal, taking sharp political jibes at the opposition while addressing supporters gathered at the event.
AAP leaders and workers from various constituencies of Patiala district participated in large numbers during the yatra. Sanour constituency in-charge Ranjodh Singh Hadana thanked the party leadership and said the overwhelming response from workers and supporters reflected growing public support for the Aam Aadmi Party.
He said a large number of workers from the Sanour constituency had reached Patiala to participate in the programme and expressed confidence that the party would register another major victory in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
The “Shukrana Yatra” is being organized by the ruling AAP leadership as part of its public outreach campaign across Punjab.
