New electric SUV starts at Rs 11.45 lakh with BaaS; deliveries begin on August 26 with performance, technology and entertainment features

Mahindra Raj Vehicles in Mohali launched the Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ on Wednesday, the latest electric SUV from Mahindra & Mahindra, combining sporty styling with advanced technology and electric performance. The launch event was attended by Punjabi singer Shahat Gill, who unveiled the vehicle and performed a Punjabi song for guests. The BE 6 SPORTEQ is priced from ₹11.45 lakh with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, while prices extend up to ₹26.95 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the variant and battery configuration.
The SUV is offered in 12 colour options, including four new shades: Rosso Impulso, Ruby Velvet, Graphite Storm and Firestorm Orange Satin.
From the tWO variant onwards, the vehicle gets a three-screen digital cockpit powered by Mahindra’s MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture). The system includes six TEQ Suites covering connectivity, entertainment, driving, personalisation and safety.
The TEQ_Talk with Google Gemini enables AI-based interaction, while TEQ_Play and TEQ_Drive offer features including in-car gaming, karaoke, Dolby Atmos, Custom Drive Mode and Drift Mode.
The Formula E Freedom Edition, inspired by Mahindra Racing’s Formula E programme, has a race-inspired design and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.44 seconds with Acceleration Boost.
Deliveries began on August 26, coinciding with Onam.
The company said the BE 6 SPORTEQ strengthens its presence in India’s growing electric vehicle market by combining performance, technology and contemporary design.
