The NCC Republic Day (RD) Camp-2025 officially commenced today at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, with the traditional “Sarva Dharm Pooja.” This year’s camp marks a milestone with the highest-ever participation of 917 female cadets, contributing to a total of 2,361 cadets from all 28 states and 8 Union Territories across India.
Among the participants, 114 cadets represent Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, while 178 cadets hail from the North East Region (NER), showcasing a true microcosm of “Mini India.” In addition, cadets and officers from 14 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) are taking part through the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP).
During the inauguration, Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, Director General of the NCC, addressed the cadets, congratulating them on their selection for the prestigious camp. He urged them to embody the highest values of character, integrity, selfless service, comradeship, and teamwork, transcending barriers of religion, language, and caste in the spirit of “Nation First.”
The month-long camp aims to foster patriotism, discipline, and leadership among the cadets. In addition to rigorous training, cadets will participate in cultural activities and social service initiatives, further enhancing unity and national pride.
