Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will launch a 100-day tuberculosis (TB) elimination campaign on December 7 in Panchkula, Haryana. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, State Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, along with dignitaries and representatives from civil society, will also attend the event. The campaign, covering 347 districts across 33 states and union territories, aims to boost TB case detection, reduce diagnostic delays, and improve treatment outcomes under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). It aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “TB-Mukt Bharat” unveiled at the 2018 Delhi End TB Summit.

Key features include targeted screenings for high-risk groups, advanced diagnostics, and expanded nutritional support under initiatives like the Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana. Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs will play a pivotal role in bringing TB services to underserved communities.
