Mumbai, December 6

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has kept the repo rate steady at 6.5 percent for the 11th consecutive time, Governor Shaktikanta Das announced on Friday. The decision comes as inflation surged to 6.2% in October, breaching the central bank’s tolerance threshold, and GDP growth slowed to 5.4% in the July-September quarter.
