The Mahayuti alliance, comprising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction, and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is leading in over 227 of Maharashtra’s 288 assembly constituencies, marking a decisive electoral victory.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, widely considered a frontrunner for the chief minister’s post, credited the alliance’s success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and his unifying slogan, “Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai” (If we are united, we are safe). The slogan, central to the campaign, resonated strongly with voters, emphasizing coalition unity and stability.

“This landslide victory reaffirms the Mahayuti’s governance model and strategic approach in Maharashtra,” Fadnavis stated, highlighting the pivotal role Modi’s leadership played in the alliance’s triumph.

Home Minister Amit Shah called Devendra Fadnavis to congratulate him as the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance looks set to secure a landslide victory in Maharashtra’s assembly elections on Saturday. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, leader of Shiv Sena, also thanked the voters for their support, describing the win as a “landslide victory.”
