A 30-year-old delivery man, Bharat Sahu, was reportedly murdered while making a cash-on-delivery of an iPhone valued at ₹1.5 lakh in Lucknow. According to police reports, the accused, identified as Gajanan from Chinhat, along with an accomplice, allegedly strangled Sahu, placed his body in a sack, and disposed of it in the Indira Canal, the news outlet The Financial Express reported.
Sahu went out for the delivery on September 23, and when he failed to return home, his family filed a missing person report on September 25. During the investigation, police traced Gajanan through call records and subsequently arrested his friend, Akash, who confessed to their involvement in the crime. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is actively searching the canal for Sahu’s body, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh, according to the news outlet.
