The Haryana Human Rights Commission has initiated an inquiry into the alleged assault on a KG student at Shaheed Major Anuj Rajput Government Sanskriti Model School in Sector 20, Panchkula. Commission Chairman Justice Lalit Batra and Assistant Registrar Dr Punit Arora visited the school and inspected the spot to assess the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The commission’s visit comes amid concerns raised by the victim’s family over the school’s security arrangements and CCTV surveillance.

The girl’s uncle, Faisal, questioned the monitoring of CCTV cameras and alleged that the person who led the family to the injured child was none other than the student allegedly involved in the assault.

The allegation has raised further questions about the school’s child safety arrangements and the procedures followed after the incident.

The Haryana Government has already constituted a committee to investigate the matter. With the Human Rights Commission also examining the case, the inquiry is expected to look into the circumstances of the incident and the responsibilities of the school administration.

The family of a six-year-old girl, who was allegedly assaulted by an eight-year-old student inside a school in Sector 20, Panchkula, has accused the school administration of negligence, claiming that the child remained unaccounted for nearly two hours before the incident came to light.

The family has raised concerns over the school’s supervision and safety arrangements, questioning how the girl could remain missing for such a long period without the staff noticing.
