BharatPe has officially announced a settlement with its former co-founder Ashneer Grover, concluding all ongoing legal disputes between the parties. The announcement was made on the company’s official social media platform X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that Grover will no longer hold any role within BharatPe. His shares will be transferred to the Resilient Growth Trust for the benefit of the company, while any remaining shares will be managed by his family trust. Both parties have agreed to drop any cases filed against each other and have moved forward amicably, the news outlet India Today reported.
Grover faced allegations of fraudulent payments to fictitious HR consultants, inflated vendor payments, and fabricated invoices, leading to investigations following his controversial departure in 2022.His wife, Madhuri Jain Grover, who was the Head of Controls at BharatPe, was also terminated around the same time. According to the news outlet said that legal complications escalated recently when Deepak Gupta, the former Head of Procurement at BharatPe’s parent company, Resilient Innovation, was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi Police.
