Digital advertising screens at malls and cinemas, along with technology to track campaign performance, were among the key topics discussed at an industry gathering in Mohali on Wednesday.
The event, titled as “The Spotlight Circle – Chapter Punjab”, was organised by It’s Spotlight, a digital out-of-home advertising network operated by Skuka Solutions Pvt. Ltd. It brought together advertising and media agencies from across Punjab.
The company’s directors, Sanya Jindal and Virkaran Singh, and Chief Financial Officer Ashish Rana addressed the media.
Jindal said the network offered advertisers a real-time dashboard to monitor campaign performance, while Virkaran outlined plans to expand digital screen advertising in Indian cities, drawing comparisons with prominent advertising hubs such as the Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Circus in London.
Virkaran said the company had installed its first screen at CP67 Mall in Mohali and had since expanded to more than 20 states and Union Territories, with advertising campaigns starting at Rs 6,000. He also discussed cinema advertising through Cinépolis and the role of the company’s SpotX technology vertical.
Rana announced an instant-booking feature that would allow users to book advertisements on the network’s screens and have campaigns go live within minutes. He said the company aimed to improve transparency in advertising expenditure and campaign performance.
The event also included a networking session and a recognition programme for agency partners.
