Electric-car ambitions, India-inspired designs accompany plans to expand dealership network to five cities by end of 2026
Chandigarh: Ferrari is expanding its engagement with India through a combination of customer outreach, electric-car technology and design collaborations, alongside plans to extend its retail network to five cities by the end of 2026.
The Italian luxury carmaker plans to open dealerships in Chennai and Ahmedabad, adding to its existing presence in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The expansion coincides with the arrival of Universo Ferrari in New Delhi, the brand’s first comprehensive exhibition in India.
The showcase brings together Ferrari’s motorsport heritage, cars and technology, while offering visitors a closer look at the company’s design and personalisation work. It also features the Ferrari Luce, the marque’s first all-electric model, signalling its direction towards electrification.
Ferrari’s Tailor Made India initiative brings Indian design perspectives into the company’s personalisation programme. In collaboration with students from the National Institute of Design, the project explores digital vehicle configurations inspired by the cultural identities of 10 Indian cities.
The initiatives reflect Ferrari’s effort to build closer relationships with Indian customers while maintaining its focus on exclusivity and bespoke experiences.
The company’s planned retail expansion comes as the India-European Union trade agreement raises expectations of changes in import duties on European vehicles. Any benefit to buyers, however, will depend on the agreement’s final provisions, implementation and applicable tariff rules.
