CM Saini invites companies to participate in Haryana Global Investor Summit 2027
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday invited Swedish companies to invest in the state during a roundtable meeting with business representatives, highlighting its industrial base, skilled workforce and connectivity. Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel also attended the meeting.
Saini said cooperation under the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Made with Sweden’ initiatives would be strengthened. He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Sweden in May 2026, saying it had given a new dimension to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
He said a joint five-year action plan had outlined a roadmap for cooperation, with India and Sweden targeting a doubling of economic exchanges, including trade and investment, over the next five years. India is Sweden’s third-largest trading partner in Asia, according to the release.
Highlighting Haryana’s investment potential, Saini cited its skilled workforce, industrial base and connectivity to major markets. He said the state also served as a gateway to northern India and that the government had strengthened the Invest Haryana Single Window System to simplify and accelerate investment procedures.
The chief minister pointed to existing Swedish investments as examples of confidence in the state. He cited IKEA’s Rs 3,500-crore integrated project in Gurugram and said Saab was establishing a Carl-Gustaf manufacturing facility at MET City in Jhajjar.
He also referred to the Swedish-Swiss group ABB’s manufacturing unit in Faridabad, which began operations in 1951 and is a major production centre for modern electric motors. Swedish educational institution Kunskapsskolan opened its first school in India in Gurugram in 2013.
Saini said Haryana was ready to engage with Swedish companies who are considering entering the Indian market. He invited them to participate in the Haryana Global Investor Summit 2027 and strengthen their cooperation with the state.
