Organ donation message reaches Eternity Logistics employees

Chandigarh, September 13

ROTTO North, PGIMER, Chandigarh, conducted organ donation awareness sessions at Eternity Logistics, engaging employees from both morning and night shifts under the nationwide ‘Jug Jug Jiyo Abhiyan’.

The sessions focused on the importance of organ and tissue donation, deceased organ donation, the transplantation process, and common myths surrounding donation. Employees actively participated in discussions and raised questions about eligibility, family consent and the donation process.

Saryu D. Madra, Consultant, IEC Media, ROTTO North, PGIMER, said awareness plays an important role in helping people make informed decisions about organ donation. She encouraged participants to discuss their wishes with family members.

Dr Vijay Tadia, Nodal Officer, ROTTO North, PGIMER, appreciated Eternity Logistics for ensuring that employees across different shifts could participate in the program. He said workplace initiatives could help raise awareness about organ donation beyond hospitals and into communities.

Ravi Kumar, Marketing Head, Eternity Logistics, said the organisation was pleased to facilitate the sessions and highlighted the importance of promoting compassion and social responsibility among employees.

The program also included an interactive question-and-answer session. The ROTTO North team addressed queries and helped employees understand the donation process and related concerns.

Team members Ritika and Manpreet also assisted employees who came forward to pledge to donate organs. The organisers said separate sessions for different shifts helped ensure wider, more inclusive participation in the awareness campaign.
