Kullu, June 22

The Congress party has announced a series of protests from 22 to 26 June in the Kullu district to highlight alleged failures by the Central Government to prevent competitive examination paper leaks and to highlight repeated exam cancellations.

Addressing a press conference at Dhalpur, Kullu District Congress Committee President Ses Ram Azad said the party would launch an awareness campaign among students and the general public regarding what it described as the shortcomings of the BJP-led Central Government. As part of the program, students at Kullu College will be addressed on 22 June.

Azad alleged that numerous competitive examinations had been canceled during the BJP’s tenure due to paper leaks, causing uncertainty and frustration among aspirants.

“Under the BJP government, as many as 90 competitive examinations have been canceled, and the primary reason behind these cancellations has been paper leaks,” Azad claimed.

He further stated that Congress would continue to raise its voice in support of students until accountability is fixed. According to him, candidates spend months preparing for competitive examinations, only to be disappointed when tests are canceled due to leaked question papers.

“Students invest significant time and effort in preparing for these examinations. Their morale is shattered when an exam is canceled due to a paper leak, and all their hard work goes to waste,” he said.

Azad alleged that those involved in examination leak scandals were being protected, resulting in repeated irregularities that were affecting the future of lakhs of students across the country.

He added that the Congress would intensify its public outreach efforts through a mass awareness campaign to inform students and citizens about the issue. The campaign, he said, would focus on raising awareness of examination-related irregularities and of what the party views as the Central Government’s flawed policies.

The protest program is scheduled to continue until 26 June, with Congress workers expected to organize demonstrations and public engagement activities across the district.
