In a major political development, former MLA Kewal Singh Dhillon is likely to be named the next Punjab BJP chief, according to sources. Dhillon is considered a close confidant of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. However, official confirmation is still awaited. When asked by the media during his participation in a local event, Dhillon expressed ignorance about the development. He said that he is a dedicated party worker, has always worked for the party, and will continue to do so. Besides it, So far, none of the senior BJP leaders has made any official comment on the issue.
