Chandigarh, May 26
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said the 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Center have been marked by development, public welfare, and public trust.
Speaking at a BJP meeting in Panchkula, Saini said people continue to place their faith in the Modi government because of its governance and welfare-oriented policies. He also said the Haryana government is ensuring that the benefits of various schemes reach people effectively under the “double-engine” governance model.
The meeting was organized by the Haryana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party to prepare a roadmap for programmes and events planned as part of the party’s nationwide outreach campaign celebrating 12 years of the Modi government.
As part of the campaign, the BJP will launch a “Seva ka Maha Abhiyan” across Haryana from June 5 to June 21. The campaign will focus on public outreach, welfare initiatives, and spreading awareness of the Central government’s achievements.
The meeting was chaired by Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and attended by senior party leaders, including Om Prakash Dhankar and Haryana BJP in-charge Satish Poonia.
According to party leaders, events will be organized at district, block and assembly constituency levels across the state. These will include tree-plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, Pragati Path Yatras, and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelans.
Badoli said Jan Kalyan Shivirs will also be organized between June 12 and June 20 in coordination with the state government. The camps will help eligible beneficiaries register for various government schemes.
During the meeting, party leaders also discussed a statewide campaign against drug abuse and appealed to party workers to cooperate with the Election Commission during the Special Intensive Revision of voter lists in Haryana.
Saini said the revision exercise aims to remove duplicate and deceased voters from the electoral rolls while ensuring that every eligible citizen aged 18 or above is enrolled.
Addressing party workers, Satish Poonia described the Modi government’s 12-year tenure as historic and said several major decisions taken in the national interest had transformed the country.
