Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has been appointed Chairman of the Committee on Petitions after its reconstitution by Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan on Saturday . The panel, which has been restructured with effect from May 20, comprises 10 members.
According to a Rajya Sabha notification, Chadha has been named as the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions following the reconstitution of the parliamentary panel. The reshuffle was carried out by Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan, who nominated 10 members to the committee.
The members of the committee, apart from Chadha, include Harsh Mahajan, Gulam Ali, Shambhu Sharan Patel, Mayankkumar Nayak, Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha, Jebi Mather Hisham, Subhasish Khuntia, Rwngwra Narzary, and Sandosh Kumar P.
In a separate notification, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat said that Chairman C P Radhakrishnan has nominated Dr. Menaka Guruswamy as a member of the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The appointments and reconstitution of parliamentary panels come as part of routine changes in committee assignments within the Rajya Sabha.
