Srinagar, May 6
A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable was found unconscious inside a camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district late Tuesday night and was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Surinder Singh, a head constable posted at the Zainapora CRPF camp. According to officials, Singh suddenly fell unconscious inside the camp premises. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Zainapora, where doctors declared him dead.
The exact cause of death is yet to be determined. Police have taken note of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to his death.
