Celebrations erupted at the BJP office in Dari after the party’s sweeping victory in West Bengal on Monday. Party leaders and workers, led by MLA Sudhir Sharma, marked the occasion with firecrackers and sweets.

Addressing the gathering, he termed the victory historic, noting that few had anticipated the Bharatiya Janata Party would secure a full majority in the state. He said the result was significant not only for the party but also for the nation, adding that it reflected a shift away from what he described as prolonged instability in West Bengal.

Referring to Assam, he further said that the BJP was on course to form the government for a third consecutive term with a full majority, demonstrating public confidence in the party’s governance and policies. He added that the party remains committed to national unity and strengthening the vision of a united India.

Targeting the Indian National Congress, Sharma alleged that several leaders could defect in the coming period, particularly those accused of misusing public funds. He reiterated that the BJP would follow a zero-tolerance approach.

In an apparent swipe at the Chief Minister, Sharma accused political opponents of misleading the public with repeated false claims, asserting that voters are now more aware and that the truth would soon emerge.
