15 injured as tempo traveller overturns in Himachal’s Bilaspur

Bilaspur, April 30

Fifteen people, including minors, were injured after a tempo traveller overturned near the Kola Wala Toba area in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district on Wednesday. The passengers were returning from the Mata Naina Devi Temple when the vehicle lost control and was involved in an accident.

According to police officials, the injured included the driver and the conductor of the vehicle. All passengers were devotees who had travelled from Delhi and were on their way back after offering prayers at the temple.

Local residents and police personnel arrived at the scene soon after the incident and assisted with rescue efforts. The injured were taken to a nearby primary health centre for treatment. Officials said that none of the injuries was fatal.

In charge of Kot Police Station, Harnam Singh confirmed that around 15 people were on board, including 3 to 4 minors. He stated that there was no loss of life or major property damage in the incident.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities said further details will emerge as the probe progresses.
