Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, to be held in Japan from September 19 to October 4. The network will show the event on its Sony Sports Network channels and stream it on Sony LIV for viewers in India and the subcontinent.
India heads into the upcoming Games following a historic performance at the previous edition, when the country set a record haul of 107 medals. The 2026 Asian Games will feature competitions in 41 disciplines, including 32 Olympic sports, with the addition of new events such as mixed martial arts and surfing. Cricket, expected to capture significant attention from Indian viewers, will see both men’s and women’s teams vying for top honors. Other popular events include tennis, kabaddi, esports, sepak takraw, and kurash.
