Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora on Wednesday said he Jogindra Group will invest ₹1,100 crore in the state under a strategic expansion plan aimed at boosting industrial growth and renewable energy capacity. Arora said the investment reflected growing industry confidence in Punjab’s business environment and the state government’s industrial policies.

According to the minister, the expansion includes ₹700 crore in the steel sector through Jogindra Castings and Vardhman Adarsh, and ₹400 crore in renewable energy through Jogindra Green India. He said the group’s annual turnover was projected to rise from ₹3,000 crore to ₹5,000 crore, while its workforce was expected to increase from 1,800 to 3,000 employees. Renewable energy capacity, he added, would expand from 37 MW to 120 MW.

Founded in 1992, the Jogindra Group is a North India-based industrial conglomerate with interests in steel manufacturing and renewable energy. Mr Arora said the company is led by chairman and managing director Adarsh Garg, along with directors Sanjay Gupta and Nimit Gupta.

The minister said the expansion would also strengthen Mandi Gobindgarh’s position as a major steel hub in Punjab, describing the city as central to the state’s industrial economy.

He said the investment would help reinforce Punjab’s industrial base, generate jobs and support cleaner, more sustainable growth, while underlining the Bhagwant Mann government’s focus on ease of doing business and environmentally responsible investment.
