The Chandigarh Golf League is gearing up for its third edition, set to begin on September 12 at the Chandigarh Golf Club, with 21 teams competing for top honours. According to Hindustan Times , this season sees the entry of a new team, Seven Iron, replacing the voluntarily withdrawn Sleepy Owls. The tournament, which concludes on October 12, follows last year’s controversy, where player disputes brought negative attention to the club. To ensure a smooth tournament this time, the organizing committee, led by Dr. Agnish Rajesh, has enforced strict discipline rules and will employ neutral referees to oversee matches, with participation limited to club members only.
Defending champions Captain’s 18 will face stiff competition from teams like Fairway Comets and Canam Raptors, among others, with a total of 380 players set to participate news outlet reported. The tournament offers a total prize pool of ₹33 lakh, with the winners receiving ₹12 lakh, the first runners-up ₹8 lakh, and the second runners-up ₹5 lakh. The organizing committee is committed to providing a fair and enriching experience for all participants this season.
