Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that the details of every explosion in the country will be systematically recorded and analysed to strengthen future investigations. Speaking on Friday, Amit Shah said that the data would be stored on a secure national platform and used to provide investigative guidance to police forces in any state, whenever required. The database, he said, would allow investigators to study patterns, modus operandi and the nature of explosives used in past incidents.

According to the Home Minister, the system would also help link separate incidents by identifying similarities in circuit patterns and other technical features, offering insights into broader trends in explosive-related crimes. The data will be managed through the National Incident Database Management System (NIDMS), a national digital platform designed for the organised collection, compilation and secure sharing of information related to bomb blasts across India. Amit Shah said the initiative would strengthen coordination among law enforcement agencies and enhance their ability to respond more effectively to future incidents.
