Punjab Police have arrested two men wanted in a high-profile murder case, in what officials described as a significant breakthrough against organised crime. Punjab’s director general of police, Gaurav Yadav, said officers from Batala Police detained an associate of the Amrit Dalem group along with another accused during an operation in South Delhi.
The arrests were made in the Tughlakabad area under the jurisdiction of Govindpuri police station. According to the DGP, both individuals were sought in connection with the Muleanwal murder case in Batala, involving the killing of Kulwant Singh, father of Gurjinder Singh Raja Bhutter — an associate of alleged criminal figure Doni Bal.
The DGP said the coordinated operation demonstrated the Punjab Police’s ongoing efforts to pursue suspects across state lines and disrupt organised criminal networks. He added that the force remained committed to ensuring public safety and bringing those involved in violent crime to justice.
