Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said those behind the deadly car explosion in Delhi would face the “strictest punishment”, insisting the government’s response would send a clear message that no terrorist should ever contemplate carrying out such an attack in India. Offering condolences to the families of the victims, Shah said the government was fully committed to bringing both the perpetrators and their handlers before the law. He added that India’s stance against terrorism had gained global recognition over the past 11 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He said the investigation would ensure accountability at every level: “All those involved in this cowardly act will be punished, and the world will see that India does not tolerate terrorism in any form.”

The Home Minister made his remarks during the inauguration of the Sagar Organic Plant and the Motibhai Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School in Gujarat. He praised Motibhai Chaudhary, calling him an inspiration who lived by Gandhian values of integrity and service, and who played a key role in strengthening rural communities and cooperative movements.

He said institutions like Amul, now a global cooperative brand, stand on foundations laid by such leaders.  Shah added that the new Sainik School — spread over 11 acres and built at a cost of ₹50 crore — would open opportunities for children from several districts to join the armed forces. The school includes smart classrooms, hostels, a library and a canteen.

He noted that the Union government has approved 100 new Sainik Schools under a public-private partnership model, and said the Motibhai Chaudhary Sainik School would become a source of pride for Mehsana.
