Dr. Swami Shridharacharya Ji Maharaj, the head of the International Shri Rangramanuj Peeth, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Jammu & Kashmir. Terming the attack as a “cowardly act,” he said it was not just an assault on innocent lives, but a direct blow to India’s religious faith and cultural heritage. The spiritual leader expressed deep sorrow and emphasized that peaceful devotees, driven only by faith and devotion, were unfairly targeted an act that is utterly inexcusable from any perspective.
Swami Shridharacharya Ji highlighted that this incident is part of a disturbing pattern of rising attacks against the Hindu community. He asserted that it is now imperative for the government to move beyond rhetoric and take concrete, policy-driven, and decisive measures to counter terrorism. He urged the Indian government to expose Pakistan-sponsored terrorist groups and their protectors on international platforms and take strong diplomatic and military actions. “If we remain complacent, such horrifying incidents could spread across the country, much like in Kashmir and Bengal,” he warned.
He also criticized those who repeatedly claim that “terrorism has no religion,” saying that overlooking the consistent pattern and source of these attacks is nothing short of injustice to the nation. “We must eradicate the root cause Pakistan-sponsored terrorism,” he stated. Addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharaj Ji appealed for enhanced security measures for Hindu pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir and demanded that the perpetrators of the attack be brought to justice swiftly.
Paying tribute to the victims of the attack, Swami Ji offered condolences on behalf of the Peeth and called upon all followers of Sanatan Dharma to unite and stand firmly against the ideology of terror. He concluded with a powerful message: “Sanatan Dharma is tolerant, but not weak. When atrocities cross limits, taking a firm stand in defense of Dharma is the truest path.” Krishna Kumar Atri, Ashok Pandit Ji, Acharya Abhinash Tiwari Ji, Sahil Shukla, Govind Upadhyay, and Krishna Pandey were also present on occasion.
