More than 1.6 million devotees took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam by 4 am on Basant Panchami, as the total count of pilgrims taking a dip since the Maha Kumbh began nearly 350 million, government officials said. The third ‘Amrit Snan’ started at dawn with ash-smeared Naga Sadhus leading the ritual, followed by other devotees.
