New Delhi, February 3
Election Commission (EC) on Monday banned the release of exit polls between 7 am and 6:30 pm on February 5, the polling day for Delhi’s assembly elections, citing legal provisions under the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The EC , in an official notification, said that conducting, publishing, or disseminating exit polls through print, electronic, or any other media during the specified period would be prohibited. The election results will be declared on February 8.
