In a recent podcast with Nikhil Kamath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed his leadership philosophy, emphasizing his high risk-taking capacity, which he believes has yet to be fully utilized. “I have never thought about myself, and the one who does not think about himself has immense risk-taking capacity,” he said.
Modi also highlighted India’s technological advancements, specifically the success of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), stating, “Social media is empowering our democracy… India has demonstrated to the world how technology can be truly democratized through UPI.”
Reflecting on his leadership, Modi took responsibility for the setbacks of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, saying, “I take responsibility for the failure. You (scientists) did your best.”
On his personal approach to challenges, Modi shared, “I’m not a VIP. I’m a common man,” recalling his willingness to visit Godhra in a single-engine helicopter despite the risks. He further stressed, “I am the same person who left the village years ago, there is no change in me.”
