Viksit Bharat Quiz gives young Indians chance to meet PM Modi

MY Bharat Punjab has invited young people across the state to register on the MY Bharat portal and participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz, the opening stage of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027.

The quiz will remain open till September 30, 2026, and is open to youth aged 15 to 29 years. Registration and all digital rounds are free and will be conducted through the MY Bharat portal in multiple languages.

Briefing the media at Press Club, Chandigarh, MY Bharat Punjab State Director (i/c) Rashmeet Kaur said the quiz was the entry point to a five-stage, merit-based selection process culminating in the national dialogue in New Delhi in January 2027.

Selected participants will progress through the Viksit Bharat Essay, District Championship and State VBYLD stages before reaching the National Dialogue, scheduled from January 10 to 12, 2027. Selected youth will present their ideas before Union Ministers, Secretaries and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Youth already registered on the MY Bharat portal do not need to register again and can directly attempt the quiz.

For VBYLD 2027, Punjab has been placed in the National Capital Region (Niti Nagar) cluster along with Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh. The cluster’s theme is “Future Governance, Urban Transformation and Citizen Services”.

Participants will address how India can build the world’s most efficient, transparent and citizen-centric governance ecosystem by 2047. District-level topics will apply the theme specifically to Punjab.

The programme is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, with MY Bharat as the executing agency. The National Youth Festival, held since 1995, was restructured in 2025 as VBYLD to align with the Viksit Bharat @2047 mission.

In the previous edition, more than 50 lakh young Indians attempted the quiz, while around 3,000 were selected for the national dialogue.

“This is not a talent show. It is a talent search for the young people who will run this country’s institutions in 2047,” Kaur said.
