Police and CIA Patiala teams jointly arrested the two suspects.
Patiala, September 25
Patiala police have arrested two Barnala residents in connection with an alleged attempt to break open an ATM in the Gandhi Nagar area under the Lahori Gate police station on September 14, officials said.
The two accused allegedly attempted to cut open the ATM during the night but failed in their attempt, police said. The Police registered a case at the Lahori Gate police station in connection with the incident.
Police teams from the Lahori Gate police station, along with teams of CIA Patiala, traced and arrested the two suspects, who are residents of Barnala, officials said.
Police produced the arrested men before a court and remanded them for further investigation. Police said they expect to make further disclosures during questioning.
DSP Patiala City Sanjeev Singla shared the details during a press conference. The investigation into the attempted ATM break-in is underway.
