Chandigarh, May 20
Shiromani Akali Dal(Punar Surjit) leader Manpreet Ayali has resigned from all his party posts in Punjab. Ayali announced his decision through a video message and social media post. In his statement, Ayali said that despite any pressure, he would never join “Delhi-controlled parties” including the BJP, Aam Aadmi Party, Congress or Badal Dal. He added that future decisions would be taken in consultation with Sikh intellectuals and according to the sentiments of the Sikh community.
Ayali said he would continue working selflessly for the welfare of Punjab and the Sikh Panth and thanked the Sangat for its support.
