India will not hesitate to deliver a “quality action” response if provoked, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned on Thursday, asserting that the country’s commitment to peace should not be mistaken for weakness. Speaking at the National Quality Conclave in New Delhi, Singh emphasised India’s longstanding role as a responsible and peace-loving nation that favours dialogue over conflict. “We have always exercised great restraint,” he said. “But if someone tries to take advantage of this, they will not be spared.”

Rajnath Singh made the remarks while hailing the success of Operation Sindoor, crediting the armed forces’ professionalism and the quality of their equipment for its precise execution. He described the operation as “unimaginable” in its accuracy, noting that it was carried out without harming any innocent civilians and with minimal collateral damage. The defence minister’s comments come amid heightened security concerns and increasing emphasis on indigenous military production and quality standards in India’s defence sector. Rajnath Singh used the occasion to underscore the importance of quality in national defence, tying it directly to operational success on the ground.

Operation Sindoor was successful because our armed forces are professionally trained and operate with the highest quality equipment,” he said, commending their discipline and precision. Rajnath Singh concluded by calling the operation a matter of national pride, highlighting how India’s pursuit of excellence in defence manufacturing and operational planning is redefining global standards.
