Punjab set to become industrial hub with Rs 86,000 crore investment, 3.92 lakh Jobs: CM Mann

Reiterating firm commitment of the state government to emerge Punjab as a industrial hub in country, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that due to concerted efforts of their government so far investment worth Rs 86,000 crore has been roped in to create 3.92 lakh jobs for youth in state.

 In a statement, the Chief Minister said that the state government is leaving no stone unturned to put the development of state further on high growth trajectory by giving massive fillip to industrialization.

He said that only in 30 months of its regime the state government has given impetus to industrialisation with leading companies like Tata Steel, Sanatan Textiles and others making a beeline to invest in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjab has complete communal harmony, peace and amity, which are mainly responsible for overall development and prosperity in the state.

The Chief Minister said that with big-ticket investment being firming up in the state, new vistas of employment are being opened for the youth. He unequivocally said that the state government is ensuring that only the local youth get jobs in these ambitious projects. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is the only condition which the state government puts before the investors keen to invest in the state so that youth are made active partners in the socio-economic growth of Punjab.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that companies are making optimum use of the congenial atmosphere backed by excellent infrastructure, power, skilled human resources and best industrial and work culture in the state to spread their business. He said that entrepreneurs are being immensely benefited by investing in the state, which is rapidly emerging as the industrial hub of the country. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government was always open for new ideas and innovations to boost up the industrial growth in Punjab.
