Punjab’s Animal Husbandry department has terminated the services of five veterinary officers, citing negligence and absenteeism. The move came after directives from Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian. Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari issued the dismissal order for Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Anupreet Kaur, Dr. Arshdeep Singh, Dr. Jagdeep Singh, and Dr. Harmanpreet Singh Bal, who had been absent from their duties for three to five years. Khudian emphasized that strict action will be taken against any official found neglecting their responsibilities, stressing that such behavior will not be tolerated.
