Patiala, June 2
The Congress party on Tuesday staged statewide protests against alleged irregularities and paper leak incidents in the NEET examination, with a major demonstration held at Fuhara Chowk in Patiala.
Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers, raising slogans and demanding accountability from the Center over what they described as a serious breach affecting students nationwide.
Congress leader Gaurav Sandhu alleged that the issue reflects a “well-planned conspiracy” that has severely impacted the future of students. He said that under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the party is holding nationwide protests against the BJP over the matter.
Sandhu further criticized the Center, stating that instead of ensuring a thorough investigation, there has been no move even to demand the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
A significant number of Congress leaders participated in the protest, highlighting growing political pressure over the alleged examination irregularities.
