President Murmu arrives in Manali amid tight security

Manali: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Manali on Tuesday as part of her Himachal Pradesh visit with tight security arrangements in place across the tourist town. Her helicopter landed at the DGRE helipad at around 1pm, where BJP Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut and other dignitaries were present to receive her.

Murmu’s convoy later left Ram Bagh Chowk, where she waved to residents and tourists gathered along the route.

Security was tightened across Manali following her arrival, with security personnel deployed along the route from the helipad to the President’s Circuit House. Security agencies also maintained close surveillance along the convoy route.

The local administration made traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of the presidential convoy, while several areas remained under heightened security.
