Shimla, April 27
President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Shimla on April 27 for a five-day summer visit to Himachal Pradesh, scheduled to continue until May 1. She will stay at Rashtrapati Niwas in Mashobra during her visit.
On April 28, the President will attend a dinner hosted by the Governor at Lok Bhavan in Shimla. On April 29, she is set to visit the Atal Tunnel. On April 30, she will attend the convocation ceremony at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Palampur and host an ‘At Home’ reception at Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra.
Before departing for Delhi on May 1, the President will visit the Army Training Command in Shimla. Tight security arrangements have been put in place, with around 1,000 police personnel deployed and the city divided into three sectors to manage security and traffic.
