Punjab National Bank (PNB), in a bid to strengthen financial inclusion and promote customer empowerment, has waived penal charges for non-maintenance of minimum average balance across all savings accounts. The customer-first initiative, launched on July 1, aims to support priority groups including women, farmers, and low-income households. By removing balance maintenance penalties, PNB aims to provide easier and more inclusive access to banking services, especially for vulnerable groups. The PNB took to Twitter to announce this major policy change, strengthening its commitment to building a more accessible and equitable banking environment for all.
