Noor Singla from Patiala has secured All India Rank 1 in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Final Examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in May 2026, bringing pride to both his city and Punjab.

According to the results announced by ICAI, Noor scored 499 marks out of 600, securing the top position across the country in one of India’s most competitive professional examinations.

Speaking about his achievement, Noor said he belongs to a middle-class family. His father is a businessman, while his mother is a homemaker. He has two sisters, one of whom is already a Chartered Accountant and the other a postgraduate.

Noor revealed that he studied for nearly 10 hours every day and completed his entire preparation through online learning. He said he had avoided social gatherings and celebrations for a long time, dedicating most of his time to studies.

He also shared that his family faced an unfortunate incident just two days before the examination, creating several challenges. Despite the setback, he remained confident about his performance.

“I was fully confident that my papers had gone well and that I would secure a good rank,” Noor said.

He further recalled that on the day of his final examination, he told his father that he expected a call from the ICAI Director regarding his result.

Noor credited his success to the constant support and encouragement of his parents and elder sister. He said their guidance helped him overcome every challenge during his preparation journey.

Looking ahead, Noor said he would now decide whether to pursue a career with a leading company in India or explore opportunities abroad.

Following the announcement of the results, celebrations broke out among family members and well-wishers, who hailed the achievement as a proud moment for Patiala and Punjab.
