Chandigarh, June 19
BJP National president Nitin Nabin is set to visit Punjab from June 20 to 22, with a packed schedule that combines religious visits, public outreach and organisational meetings across Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Party leaders said the three-day tour is aimed at strengthening the BJP’s presence in the state while engaging with a wide cross-section of society, including youth, industrialists and party workers.
According to Punjab BJP General Secretary Anil Sarin, Nabin will begin his visit in Amritsar on June 20 by paying obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib. He is also scheduled to visit Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Mandir and Sri Ram Tirath Mandir, highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the city.
Later in the day, he will travel to Jalandhar, where BJP workers and supporters are expected to welcome him.
On June 21, Nabin will participate in International Yoga Day celebrations at Lovely Professional University before heading to Ludhiana. There, he will inaugurate the BJP’s district office on Dugri Road and address a meeting of sub-circle in-charges and senior party leaders.
The BJP chief is also expected to meet members of the business community and industrialists during an interaction aimed at discussing issues affecting trade and industry.
His final day in Punjab will focus on organisational and youth engagement programmes. Nabin will hold meetings with Members of Parliament, former MPs, MLAs, former legislators and youth representatives. He is also scheduled to participate in a youth conclave and meet state office-bearers, district presidents and members of the BJP Punjab core group.
Sarin said the visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to the party’s organisational expansion efforts in Punjab and deepen its outreach among different sections of society.
